There are many challenges to the followers of Jesus Christ. Human materialism is rampant as well as polytheism and relativism. As such, the need for believers in Christ to arm themselves with doctrinal truths is no longer an option. Therefore, we must "...be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you..." I Peter 3:15.
In addition, it is important to remember there is no neutrality in scripture. Christ Himself said, "He that is not with me is against me..." Matthew 12:30. George W. Truett said it best, "Tolerance is good, but tolerance which sells out our convictions is treason." The biggest question that remains is, do we all serve the same God?
